Since 2004, we’ve tracked safety performance to help our members reach zero: no incidents, injuries, or fatalities. The Safety Benchmarking Portal, part of the Construction Labor Market Analyzer, provides a single platform to understand your safety performance in the context of the industry.
The Safety Benchmarking Portal creates a shared perspective around your team’s progress — identifying your track record and comparing it to competitors and the industry at large. It can also be used for continuous benchmarking, comparing data from two selected years to identify change. All data is aggregated and blinded to ensure confidentiality, then made available through the Safety Benchmarking Report.

The Safety Benchmarking Portal is available free of cost to CURT members. To access it, log in to the Construction Labor Market Analyzer. Use the safety survey to submit safety performance data by industry sector, location, and employee type and benchmark performance against peers in the industry.
The survey includes questions about total work hours, recordable incident cases, days away and restricted or transferred, near misses, first aid cases, and fatalities. We use the same definitions as OSHA, so survey results can be compared to annual construction industry safety statistics.

The Safety Benchmarking Report summarizes our members’ responses to the annual safety survey, presenting the latest safety rates and providing corporate safety performance benchmarks. It’s designed to document proven safety rate data with summary analysis — avoiding commentary on potential causes behind certain statistics or trends.
