Productivity Calculator

The construction industry has faced declining productivity for decades. And the problem is especially apparent in craft disciplines. We’ve watched as industries like manufacturing have used benchmarking and discipline to implement change. Now, we’ve created the opportunity for change in our own industry.

Measure productivity, improve performance

The High-Level Productivity Calculator (HLPC) was launched through a collaboration with COAA, CII, CURT, and CLMA. The HLPC enables leaders to benchmark a project and its craft disciplines against validated data from other projects. With trustworthy data to measure against, you can make targeted improvements for better productivity.

How it works
Input your project data in five easy steps to generate a report containing your productivity metrics compared to our validated project index. The HLPC is currently free to use, and with a full CLMA account, your data and records are retained for future reference and analysis.
1. High-level project information

Add general information like the project’s name, location, type, total cost, start date, and end date. All data is validated before it is stored in our database for future inclusion in the statistical population.

2. Project safety and hours

Enter the total recordable incident rate (TRIR), total direct work hours, and total indirect work hours. Choose between metric or imperial units of measurement.

3. On-site quantity and hours by discipline

Input quantities and hours for up to eight disciplines. Use installed quantities (not reworks) and actual worked hours (including reworks).

4. Off-site quantity and hours

Add the number of modules and pre-assembled skids along with the size of the project management team.

5. Engineering deliverables

Answer questions about the timing and quality of engineering deliverables.
